TESTING THE BINNED METHOD
Let me re-explain :
Select the neutrino type (manual, user input) shoot X,Y according to the correct PDF locate the correct X,Y bin shoot E according to the event rate spectrum '''in this X,Y bin'''
In the following plots:
*RED : obtained from JNUBEAM|NEUT,using the official JNUBEAM ntuples
*BLUE : obtained by shooting 107 random neutrinos with the above mentioned method
BLUE is always on top of red, showing the code is correct.
NOTE : for nues and numubars the error bars in the red histograms seem to vary wildly. I believe that's a consequence of the 'norm' weight from JNUBEAM (that sets the correct branching ratios etc.). It could also be a consequence of the hit and miss method : I suspect that for certain classes of non-isotropic decays in the CM the probability to hit the detector might be very low...???????
Questions: * Smoothing ?
